Leather
Leather is a natural material characterised by hallmark features that celebrate the animal's life. These markings may include creases, stretch marks, scars, insect bites, as well as brand marks. These markings are not product defects – variation can be expected as each hide is distinctly unique.
Important to note:
Leather will wear and stretch with use. Regular use will also affect the appearance and colour of the leather. Over time, it will develop its own unique patina.
How to care for Leather:
- Do not use artificial heat or harsh sunlight to dry leather furniture. This will cause the leather to become dry and crack.
- Our leathers do not require any hide food.
Teak, Aged Teak
Teak wood contains an abundance of natural oils, making it durable and suitable for outdoor conditions.
Important to note: Continued exposure to outdoor conditions will give the timber a beautiful silver-grey patina. This weathering can happen quickly but should settle and stabilise over time. Avoid placing Teak tables directly on carpets as the natural oils can stain the carpet fibres.
How to care for Teak finishes:
- Clean the Teak with a soft sponge and the foam of a water and dishwashing liquid mixture.
- Avoid letting water stand on the surface of Teak furniture.
