Viscose is one of the most commonly used faux silks. It's a type of rayon and is considered semi-synthetic because natural cellulose  – wood pulp – is used in the production process. It's the oldest manufactured fibre in the world, dating back to the late 1800’s.

Because of its affordability and permanence, the silky, cool, breathable fibre is a natural replacement of real silk. It's also soft and luxurious which makes it exceptionally comfortable underfoot.

Viscose is a sensitive fibre and should be placed in areas where there is less potential for staining, spills and moisture.

• Vacuum regularly in one direction (not back and forth). This will reduce shedding over time.
• Use dry carpet cleaning powder and a vacuum to clean stains. Do not steam clean.
• Blot liquids with a dry, absorbent cloth. Do not rub.
• Never use liquids on viscose rugs.
• Avoid exposure to heat and sunlight.
• Yearly professional cleaning is recommended.
