Hemp is one of the most sustainable materials on earth. Derived from the Cannabis plant, it's been used in textiles for thousands of years. Fast-growing, it needs no pesticides and only half the amount of land and water than cotton. The fibres are extremely tough and durable, making hemp rugs perfect for high-traffic areas. While being exceptionally robust, the fibre has a similar texture to linen, making rugs soft and comfortable under foot.

About
Important to Note
Inherent variations in natural fibres, as well as variations resulting from the handweaving process, are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are alike.
How to Care for Hemp
- Vacuum regularly in one direction (not back and forth).
- Treat spots and stains immediately to prevent damage.
- Blot spills gently with a dry, absorbent cloth.
- Avoid exposure to heat and sunlight.
Hemp Carpets
Hemp rugs are mildew-resistant and their fibres do not deteriorate when wet (unlike other plant fibres), making them great for kitchens and bathrooms.
How to Care for Hemp Carpets
- Hemp may 'sprout' during general handling and everyday use. Trim loose fibres back to the surface pile using scissors. Do not pull loose threads. After time, the fibres will settle and will require less cutting.
