Marble is a metamorphic rock that forms when limestone is subjected to heat and pressure over millions of years. This happens naturally in the earth’s crust. There is a huge variety of marble colours – the recognisable whites, greys and blacks but also bright blues, deep oranges, reds and vibrant greens amongst others.

Variations in the natural veining and colouration make each piece of marble unique. Natural stone is porous and susceptible to marking and stains. No two items are exactly alike. 

• Dust frequently with a clean, soft cloth.
• Do not rub, scratch or scour.
• Protect from acidic substances such as wine, coffee and fruit juice. Wipe off liquids immediately and rinse with a clean, damp cloth.
• Do not leave any oily products on the stone.
• Always use coasters on marble tabletops.
