Raw steel is a form of carbon steel that has not been treated with other substances. It’s also known as unalloyed or mild steel and can be welded, machined, or formed into various shapes and structures. Raw steel is relatively economical and provides excellent strength; however, it's prone to rusting if not adequately protected.

Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron that is resistant to rusting and corrosion. It's also high and low temperature resistant, easily fabricated, strong and durable, and easy to clean and maintain. Long lasting with a low lifecycle cost, stainless steel is not only aesthetically attractive, but also environmentally friendly and recyclable.
How to Care for Stainless Steel
- Hand wash with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge.
- Do not use harsh scourers or steel wool as they may scratch the surface.
- Use a stainless steel cleaner to keep the polished surfaces bright.
Powder-Coated Steel
A type of layering applied to metal as a dry powder, powder coating is tougher and hardier than paint. It allows for a thicker coat with less chance of colour and thickness variation (as often happens and can drip and sag). Our outdoor steel products have been galvanised to protect them from weathering and corrosion.
Important to Note
Powder-coated steel can chip or scratch when not handled with care, as steel rusts.
How to Care for Powder-Coated Steel
- Dust regularly.
- Wash the surface with warm, soapy water and a lint-free cloth or soft sponge. If product is in a saltwater environment, do this weekly as salt deposits can damage the finish.
- Avoid letting water stand on the surface of your furniture.
- Do not rub, scratch our scour.
